Welcome from the Principal Peter Sackett
Welcome to St John Bosco College.
It is a joy to introduce you to our vibrant K to 12 Catholic community here in Piara Waters. This is a place where young people are known, supported, and encouraged to grow into confident, capable individuals ready to contribute to the world.
Now in our twelfth year, St John Bosco College has grown into an established learning community of more than 1400 students. From our earliest learners in Pre-Kindergarten to our graduating Year 12 students, the College provides continuity and a strong sense of connection. We are also proud to offer a flourishing OSHC service and the Aboriginal Families as First Educators Playgroup, which enrich the life of our community.
Our College motto, JOY IN LEARNING, sits at the heart of who we are. We believe that students thrive when they feel a sense of belonging, are engaged in meaningful learning, and are given opportunities to explore their interests. Whether in the classroom, in the arts, on the sporting field, or through service, our students develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Our dedicated staff create environments where every student feels safe, respected, and inspired to reach their God given potential. Guided by contemporary, evidence informed practice, our educators prepare young people for the lives they hope to lead and help them build the confidence needed to pursue their goals.
Our campus has been thoughtfully developed to support innovative, creative, and collaborative approaches to learning. Modern, flexible spaces sit alongside purposefully designed specialist facilities, including science laboratories, arts studios, and high quality indoor and outdoor sporting areas. Our environment nurtures talent and fosters an enthusiasm that feeds into the many celebrations and events that bring our College to life.
Life at St John Bosco College is shaped by our Salesian identity. Inspired by our patron, we strive to ensure that every child is valued through community, faith, optimism, and genuine relationships.
“A home that welcomes, a parish that evangelises, a College that prepares for life and a playground where friends meet and enjoy themselves”. Salesian Charism
As principal of St John Bosco College, I feel privileged to serve a community that lives these values with authenticity and pride. I look forward to working alongside our families, staff, and students as we continue to build a College where every young person knows that they are loved and have a meaningful place within our story.
Yours in Christ,
Peter Sackett
